Todavía estamos con los ojos y el corazón llenitos de Balcanes… Son tantas las imágenes que vuelven a cada rato  en forma de recuerdos gratos…

Ya estamos en casa abocados otra vez a nuestros respectivos trabajos. Pero con el corazón pleno. Con la alegría de sentirnos cada vez más ciudadanos del mundo. Al tener la fortuna de poder conocer otras geografías, porciones de historia de otros pueblos,  otros seres humanos y comprobar que en cada rinconcito del planeta existen personas amables y profesionales. Sentimos que nos brindaron un servicio que (independientemente de ser el que habíamos contratado) fue el que habrían elegido para ustedes mismos. O para sus propias familias.

Ha sido un verdadero placer conocerlos profesional y personalmente.

Con respecto al tour a Alberto y a mí nos pareció perfecto, la diagramación del recorrido,  los sitios visitados. Y como habitualmente nos sucede… uno se queda en cada sitio con ganas de más… ¡pero imposible agregar una noche más en cada sitio!

Y a todo esto le sumamos la invalorable profesionalidad de Maja, desenvuelta ante los ocasionales inconvenientes (que han sido muy pocos afortunadamente), siempre dispuesta a un consejo o sugerencia, ofreciendo alternativas, con una energía envidiable y con la mirada y el oído siempre atentos… Y para que Alberto diga que es una muy buena conductora al volante… es porque realmente ha demostrado serlo!  (Aclaración: los argentinos son muy machistas en esto… el refrán típico es “Mujer al volante, peligro andante”…)   Mirá lo relajados que habrán estado los dos hombres de nuestro tour con Maja al volante,  que eran los dos más dormilones…!

Ya he cumplido con tu pedido. Tanto en Facebook como en Tripadvisor, donde también he realizado algunos comentarios en otras ocasiones.

Ya hemos disfrutado de vuestro vino y compartiremos los chocolates con nuestros hijos durante el próximo fin de semana. Gracias por ellos!

El trato recibido por la agencia,desde el primer instante , con el primer mail enviado y contestado por Maja, fue espectacularmente sorprendente , decir excelente es poco, la educación y el buen trato nos resultaba difícil de creer, la prontitud conque armaron todo nuestro itinerario fue 10 puntos. Nos contestaban mucho más rápido que agencias argentinas . Movis siempre está dedicado a atender a los turistas “a toda hora todos los dias”.
Una vez allá , en Zagreb el recibimiento por parte del guía no pudo ser mejor en cuanto a su empatía, nos obsequiaron con chocolates y frutas delicadamente endulzadas y delicadamente presentadas, también nos obsequiaron un libro de leyendas eslovenas muy bello que atesoraré de por vida.
El guía resultó ser muy , pero muy bueno en conocimientos, pero más importante aún :mejor persona( se llama Ziga ) , en cada ciudad teníamos también un guía local que siempre era brillante en conocimientos y en cordialidad.
Sin duda volveré Dios mediante este año a viajar con esta agencia, y recomendarla a todos los amigos.
El precio calidad servicio prestado , nos pareció bajo el precio por tamaño servicio.
Finalmente quiero hacer notar que por suerte y por asistir a congresos médicos con mi mujer a distintos lugares del mundo , nos hizo conocer más de 80 países siempre viajando en privado, y esta es sólo la segunda oportunidad en que escribo de una agencia, para que otros tengan la suerte que mi esposa y yo tuvimos en encontrarla.

Buenas noches. En primer lugar decirle que la opinión global del viaje ha sido muy buena. Maja es una guía excelente, conoce todas las ciudades y la zona a fondo y sabe además adaptarse a los gustos de cada cliente a cada momento. Tiene una gran experiencia y eso se nota, muy contentos con ella.

Los demás guías excelentes también, con un nivel muy bueno de español y de conocimiento de las ciudades. Destacar a Dean que es además muy simpático.

Respecto al recorrido únicamente nos sobró y de hecho no fuimos al Segundo parque en Croacia. El día anterior en los lagos se nos hizo un poco agobiante el paseo por un exceso de visitantes y un riesgo en mi opinión alto de contagio por el virus por las escasas distancias entre las personas y la ausencia de mascarillas y no quisimos repetir. Los hoteles excelentes, quizá el de Hvar con una habitación algo pequeña. Los demás muy buenos todos en todos los aspectos. Mención especial al hotel del viñedo, donde los propietarios son sensacionales y te hacen la estancia más que agradable en un lugar con un paisaje soberbio. Un lugar para volver.

En resumen muy contentos con el viaje, desde luego, si repetimos la zona, se lo volveremos a encargar a ustedes. El viaje es caro, desde luego, pero merece la pena.

The trip with Miha exceeded our expectations. The hotel selections were all good. Miha was certainly a top guide, his knowledge, patience and relaxed nature made the week extremely successful. I would say also that the local guides were also very good.

My group of 14 travelers had an amazing 2-week trip with Movis. The booking process with Rok was easy and it was so nice to have his guidance in getting the most picturesque and diverse itinerary together. Our outstanding, energetic guide, Helena, did a fantastic job of getting all we had packed in our itinerary to work in a smooth way. She shared her vast knowledge and passion for her country with us and was a delight to travel with. Our hotels were very lovely, well located and included delicious breakfasts. The buses were so comfortable and nice. Movis is one of the most (if not The Most) professional tour operators I’ve ever worked with and I’ve been in the travel business for 37 years. It was an amazing trip in an awe-inspiring, fairytale land.

Acabamos de terminar un viaje en familia con mi esposa y mis 2 hijos a los 11 lugares de Unesco. Dunja de Movis nos ayudó a planear este viaje por Eslovenia, Croacia, Bosnia y Montenegro. La planeación fue impecable. Nos respondieron rápidamente a nuestros emails y fueron muy efectivos en las confirmaciones de hoteles e itinerarios. Nuestra guía y conductora Maja fue excelente. Un muy buen español, buena conductora y con mucho conocimiento de todos los lugares que visitamos. Los hoteles seleccionados fueron de nuestra entera satisfacción y de la categoría solicitada. Los guías locales en su mayoría fueron muy buenos y enriquecieron bastante nuestra experiencia. El auto en el que hicimos el recorrido fue muy cómodo. Los lugares visitados cumplieron todas nuestras expectativas. Podemos recomendar este viaje ampliamente y a la agencia Movis por hacerlo muy bien.

We just returned last night from a 2-week tour of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Montenegro. I can’t say enough about Movis–Rok was great to work with, and he helped us craft the perfect itinerary. There were just 4 of us, in a very comfortable Mercedes van. Our driver/guide was Miha. From the first minute to the last, he made our trip absolutely seamless! He patiently answered our many questions, from history to culture to the war and so on. We went to several local restaurants for lunch, which as independent travelers, we never would have found.
When we began planning this trip, we were concerned that all of the reviews were 5-stars . . . but if I could, I’d give them 10 stars!!

Hola Maja !!! La verdad que hemos pasado unos días maravillosos y agradecidos de  sus servicios ! Con respecto a la guía la verdad que bastante bien a pesar de compartir casi todos los días !! Es una experiencia nueva porque yo había tomado tour privados pero de un lugar a otro  en avión por lo tanto en cada lugar nos recibían distintos guías ! Maia es una persona con muchos conocimientos y estaba siempre a nuestra disposición pero con mucho carácter y yo iba acompañada de un matrimonio bastante especial y necesitábamos nuestra privacidad y al estar acostumbrados a viajar permanentemente , por ahí sentíamos que llegando al lugar necesitábamos de nuestra privacidad ( espero que me entiendas ) nada personal con respecto a ella sino a costumbres y culturas diferentes ! Todos los guías estupendos con algunos detalles que se los comente a maia  el último día ! Los hoteles muy lindos solo el de odhrid!
Con respecto a las propinas tb lo hablamos y le expliqué que al ser un viaje  de tantos servicios pero a la vez de un monto alto se suponía que las propinas no nos correspondían lo que daba por hecho que tb estaban incluidas eso será un tema para la próxima vez !!!! Desde ya muchas gracias por sus presentes y los servicios que nos brindaron !!! Seguramente lo recomendaré a mis amigos  que no pudieron viajar y a los que me pregunten una empresa súper recomendable y muy interesante !!!!!

The only “downside” was that our flights out of Dubrovnik were delayed, and we missed all of our connections; it took 2 days to get home. Miha checked our flights, and they showed that they were on-time. Even three hours after the departure time had passed, they wouldn’t re-route us because the flights were still showing “on-time.” Go figure. But, we made it home, and all is well.

From the first email contact to the last goodbye, the services of Movis Private Tours has been exceptional and beyond reproach. Each hotel room was perfect, interesting, and well placed in each town. From the middle of a vineyard, to the center of the old section of town; each having their own character only added to the great experience. The gastronomic meals were beyond our culinary expectations (and often beyond our abilities to finish as well). Žiga, our personal guide/host/driver was a real pleasure to spend our time during the tours. He is very knowledgeable, speaks multiple languages and courteous to the needs of his clients. Movis Tours provided an excellent itinerary that had us traveling throughout the country trying wines, foods and culture. The specialty guides in the big cities were very much appreciated for their intimate knowledge of the history of each town.

We have a deep respect for the history that Slovenia has occurred and look forward to coming back in the near future.

Our guide and driver Helena, was exceptional in her knowledge of history, culture, politics, nature and gastronomy. How their small country is adjusting to the new way of life after the split of Yugoslavia. She was an excellent driver in the mountains narrow curvy roads. The trip was versatile, combining nature, small towns and historical places.In Croatia we got additional local guides in Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik who described in details their towns. Helena recommended typical dishes and restaurants. We could sense the pride she felt for her small country of Slovenia. She shared personal stories from her past and present life.
Rok Pupis, the owner of MOVIS helped us tailor the trip per our request and was flexible enough to pick us up in Venice, quite a long drive to our first destination of Piran.
it was a very satisfactory experience. Highly recommended.

We (2 couples) had a great two week tour of Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro. After listening to our desires, Movis put together a wonderful tour. We covered a lot of miles, but were able to change hotels only every other night (except for a single overnight in Plitvice Lakes). Our driver/guide Tomaž was extremely knowledgable about the history of the area. He was fun and flexible. He quickly made adjustments to the itinerary as weather or our desires indicated. Would highly recommend Movis to anyone traveling to this area of the world.

Habla muy bien el español y esto es muy importante; conoce muy bien todos los lugares visitados y habla con mucha propiedad de ellos; conduce muy bien y lo hace sentir a uno seguro; no tiene pereza para nada y siempre estaba dispuesta a ofrecer algo más sin importar lo largo de algunas jornadas; es discreta y estaba lista para darnos nuestro espacio cuando lo queríamos. En cuanto a los guías locales quedamos muy satisfechos con Dino (Split-Trogir), Petra (Porec-Rovinj-Pula), Vedran (Zagreb), Paula (Zadar) y Viviana (Kotor).  Mia (Sibenik) tenía buen dominio del español pero le falta un poco de experiencia y le faltó más explicación. A Dorotea (Hvar) tiene buen español y experiencia pero la visita estuvo muy corta y había más para ver.  A Zlatan (Mostar) tenía buena disposición y experiencia pero su español estaba un poco enredado.

Los hoteles estuvieron muy buenos. Nos gustaron mucho el Cubo de Ljubljana y el Cornaro de Split. El Villa Tutorotto de Rovinj también tenía su encanto por lo pequeño y bien situado. El hotel de Plitvice también nos pareció bien situado y muy cómodo. El hotel Dubrovnik en Zagreb muy bien situado y agradable. El hotel que menos nos gustó fuel el Ariston en Dubrovnik. Aunque es un 5 estrellas es muy grande y un poco viejo. Nosotros preferimos los otros hoteles que eran más pequeños y que las habitaciones tenían pisos de madera y no con alfombras.  Pero de todas formas disfrutamos nuestra estadía allí.

Todos los sitios visitados nos parecieron espectaculares y en general el itinerario quedó muy bien planeado.  Hubo algunas jornadas muy largas como la de Hvar-Mostar-Dubrovnik pero creo que hubiera sido difícil hacerla de otra manera.

El auto Mercedes fue muy cómodo para nosotros y no tuvimos ningún inconveniente.

I found this company on line. I was a bit concerned about having to forward payment through to a company I knew nothing about. But we went ahead and booked with ROK and had the most amazing time. The company was very professional and our tour guide Helena was the best. We could not have asked for a better company to take us on our holiday. The six of us just came back from a 7 days trip to see the best of Slovenia and Croatia. Planning the trip with Rok was smooth and very professional. Rok was very responsive and answered every question we had prior to the trip (even after we paid in full!) with the outmost details.

My wife and I are just back home after a wonderful trip with Movis and our fantastic overall tour guide, Branko Struga.

Our eleven day adventure of the Ex-Yugoslavia was extremely well planned – it included all of the significant and notable sights. Rok Puppis, the owner of Movis, was exceptionally receptive to incorporate our specific desires including a focus on World War I and Jewish history.

We experienced the flavors of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro. Our days were full, our local guides were extremely knowledgeable, we learned a lot about the countries & their history and experienced the culture first hand.

Our overall tour guide, Branko, was a man who wore many hats. He described the history and the conflicts of the countries, he engaged in conversation as we drove site to site and he ensured that we enjoyed the local essence and fare at each of the destinations. Branko met us each day with a smile on his face, a clear plan for the day and new sources of information based on our previous day’s discussion that he researched at night. We quickly became “part of one family”.

I can only rave about our trip and how much we saw, learned and experienced.

My wife and I have been sharing many stories, experiences and pictures since we have returned home and are greatly looking forward to our next adventure.

Nosotros (2 parejas) tuvimos un gran tour de dos semanas por Eslovenia, Croacia y Montenegro. Después de escuchar nuestros deseos, Movis organizó un maravilloso recorrido. Cubrimos muchas millas, y pudimos cambiar de hotel solo cada dos noches (excepto una sola noche en los Lagos de Plitvice). Nuestro conductor / guía Tomaž era extremadamente conocedor de la historia de la zona. Fue divertido y flexible. Rápidamente hizo ajustes al itinerario según el clima o nuestros deseos indicados. Our group is back in the Philippines since a few days back.  We want to tell you how grateful we are for a most memorable trip we had with Movis Tours.  We had very good hotels in terms of location and facilities, thanks to you.  We had a most comfortable bus.  And we had the best team of Ziga and Karlo that they’ve become part of our group during the last half of our tour.  Ziga recommended all the right things to us.  He is very patient and fun to be with.  Very knowledgeable and informative.  He always does what he can to make our tour pleasant.

Dear Rok, We had an exceptional Ancestor Heritage Tour by your guide Helena. Helena went way above what we expected.She was extremity knowledgeable about my ancestors heritage and lifestyle they lived. She also went above and beyond in the researching my family. Helena located my Grandfathers and my Grandmothers home and also I met cousins for the first time. It was a very emotional experience. Even knowing where Grandparents came from I never would have been able to find Homes and relatives without Helena’s knowledge, experience, and guidance. The greatest asset Helena provides is her passion for work, This is not just a job for her,, it is a passion and it shows! She truly cares about our discovering our Family heritage, as well as educating her Slovenian Heritage, The other greatest asset of Helena is her scheduling , We had a full day filled with activities but at a relaxed paced that allowed us to totally enjoy our time . The Wine tasting at Metlica was, again , way above our expectations. We had scheduled only the one day tour,, but by the end of that day, it was very clear to us , we had to hire Helena the next day for a trip to Bled ,, and again,, this tour also went way above our expectations. We are planning on coming back in a few years and we will be wanting (demanding!) Helena to be our guide again! Tienen un muy buen negocio en las manos, creo que el turismo para esa zona se ira incrementando poco a poco. Senores Rock y Dunja, Aun estamos en Espana y les queria escribir semana proxima desde Colombia, para decirles que estamos muy satisfechos con todo el viaje que ustedes nos han organizado por Croacia, Bosnia Herzegobina y Montenegro. Muy bien los hoteles y sus habitaciones con buena vista, los guias locales, el coche mercedes y muy en especial Dean, quien nos parecio un magnifico guia, chofer y gran persona en sentido profesional, personal y familiar. De verdad que muchas gracias por los muy buenos servicios prestados por su agencia y esperamos recomendarlos ampliamente a nuestros amigos que viajen por esas lindas ciudades y paises.

Mi querida Dunja, quiero agradecerte infinitamente a mi nombre y el de mi familia, las atenciones que tuvieron con nosotros en toda nuestra estancia!! Gracias por los halagos de mi nene, estuvo super bien portado en todo el viaje, y eso para nosotros fue una bendición!! También queremos agradecerte los tres detalles de cumpleaños, que detallazo! y la cena en tu ciudad super increible! rico todo, el lugar nos encantó!! además, que lindos los detalles que nos dieron, así como los hoteles 5 estrellas que fue un plus (el de Dubronik uffffff precioso!!!!, en fin, todo encantador! En cuanto a lo del viaje, nos pareció muy profesional Dean, todo el tiempo muy amable y además conocedor de muchas cosas, en verdad que fue un placer viajar con él. De los guías, todos extraordinarios, excepto tres, Ana de Dubronik (poco conocedora y muy grosera e intolerante), Gabriela de Vienna (poco conocedora, inculta, y corriente en su manera de comportarse), y una guia que ni se como se llama de Kotor (fue amable pero nos dio una explicación demasiado pobre, y por lo visto tenia prisa, pues la encontramos con otras personas en Perast). Los hoteles, el Hotel Astoria de Budva no nos gustó porque esta muy oscuro y un poco desordenado, pero la ubicación eso si, es extraordinaria. Nos encantó el hotel Villa Sofija, precioso!!! y en general todos lindos, bien ubicados y trato muy amable. Los lugares todos tienen algo encantador, aunque creo que podríamos omitir para futuros pasajeros Kosovo, pues no es un lugar de mucho interés, quizas también Belgrado, aunque claro la comida es fantástica y el sitio donde cenamos, no tiene precio, nos encantó!! además de la fortaleza, pero en sí la ciudad como que quizas no gustará mucho a futuros visitantes. Siento que para no cansar a futuros prospectos, pudieramos preparar algo en Croacia, Eslovenia y Bosnia (aunque me fascinó el Lago de Ohrid, pero para no cansar a la gente y hacer muchos kms). Nosotros a pesar de que fueron muchos kms, lo aguantamos perfecto!! pero habrá gente que quizas no aguante mucho, además, la mayoria de la gente prefiere viajar a ciudades más fascinantes como la tuya por ejemplo, y para los mexicanos, las playas de Croacia, quizas no sean fantásticas pues ya sabes, tenemos playas con arena y clima templado, pero el paisaje es excelente, sería cuestión de analizar que podemos trabajar y preparar para el gusto de la mayoria de la gente, sale? Pues fue un placer enorme este viaje, el conocerte personalmente y llevarnos gratos recuerdos de los Balcanes y de toda su gente. Por supuesto que se que nos veremos pronto, ojalá vengan pronto a México que será un placer enorme recibirlos y atenderlos como se merecen!! Los servicios que Ustedes prestaron fueron excelentes, hotelería ajustados a lo convenido pero fundamentalmente la actuación de Dean. Excelente conductor y guía. Tambien destacamos en forma superlativa los guías de Zadar y Zagreb. A Rok y a ti les auguramos buen exito por la profesionalidad que han demostrado tener. Buenos días Dunja: A sido todo perfecto: Horarios … 10 Atención . .. 10 Visitas …… 10 Transportes .. 10 Guía ………… 10 Conductor/es. 10 Belgrado nos ha gustado, si que nos ha parecido un poco caótica la circulación en sus calles. Sobre todo nos ha parecido muy bonita la ciudad de NOVI SAD, Las comidas en todos los lugares han sido muy buenas y las vistas tambien Cuando tenga un hueco te amplio un poco mas la información Saludos y gracias por todo.

El tour si cumplio todas mis expectativas. Fue como me lo imaginaba, y nos gusto mucho a toda la familia, descubrimos lugares maravillosos y magicos. El viaje fue muy, muy bueno.El coche muy comodo y con un muy buen espacio para todas las maletas que llevamos.Los hoteles excelentes y muy bien ubicados. Quedamos todos felices por la organización, los lugares visitados maravillosos, de algunos sabíamos que era lindos como Split y Dubrovnik sin embrago todos los demás fueron un gran descubrimiento.La caimnata por el parque Plitvice la recordaremos mucho tiempo y es tan bueno que puedan mantenerlo protegido para que se conserve.Podría escribir mucho de cada ciudad pero tu ya las conoces y sabes lo impresionante que son.En todos los lugares los guias muy claros, amables y bien dispuestos a mostrarnos su ciudad. Hi Rok, Sorry for being so late in getting a response to you but I picked up a terrible head cold the last day in Verona which made the trip home a real pain. Have being slow at getting back at things here but I am now at work with only the memories of the trip to get me through the day ha. Anyway I wanted to share that I know that I speak for the group when I say every aspect of the trip was above, way above, our expectations. That is not to say we had low expectations on the contrary we were looking for a 1st class experience and you delievered far above that. We were in the hands of a professional and it showed up in your attention to detail, you looking out for each of us and our individual wishes, your flexibility and your ability to meld into the group so smoothly. You suffered with our stupid senses of humour and even laughed at our crap jokes and you made us feel you were one of us and that was very comfortable. Stay doing what you are doing. I have told many people here in the office where I work as a consultant to 8 different companies that this was the trip of a lifetime. Many want to take my 1000 pictures home to review and most are so impressed with the experience you gave us. So once again thanks for doing all you did for us. If you ever want me to write or talk to potential clients feel very free to ask and they will get a very positive reflection of the experience. The leaves are turning golden here and the temp is dropping to 1c at night and I will have to put my boat away this weekend after one more trip to my remote log cabin. Awww Rok! We are so happy to hear from you. Tom and Sonia should be back in Canada by now. Betty, Don, Ken and I leave for Verona tomorrow morning (water taxi from hotel to train station). You’d be proud of us as we took your recommendation to heart and made our goal to “learn” Venice by wandering “everywhere” and getting totally lost. It was great. We most enjoyed today as we walked the shoreline for quite some distance out of the bazillion of Chinese tour groups and cruise ship people. Dear Rok, We are home safely. The plane had a ‘technical problem’ and was 1.5 hours late leaving Frankfurt so we had to catch an hour later flight in Vancouver. I slept well last night, Bob not too badly so we are none the worse for wear. I hope you had an uneventful trip all that way back to Ljubljana. Quite a marathon! Thank you so much for looking after us so well. We thoroughly enjoyed our initiation into the Balkans and having you as our guide. It felt like it was an itinerary that was uniquely geared to Bob & Sally…which it was! How many other guides would combine driving around in the back of beyond, climbing up odd bits of territory, stopping for hard to take photographs, being able to recount the local history for the last 600 years, exchanging personal stories and interests with their clients, telling the local jokes, choosing appropriate venues to see and places to stay, teaching some language, and remaining cheerful in the face of local authorities? It was a delight to be with you. I will get to our photos soon. They are always a key part of a trip, aren’t they. Too bad you tried to hide our camera in your bag. I would say that our time with you was a ‘tonic’. You looked after us so well and were such good company. Many thanks for your gentle and intelligent approach. Hello Rok, My apologies for not contacting you earlier. It was on my list of things to do as we wanted to tell you how much we really enjoyed our journey with Helena. She was a wonderful driver and we felt very safe with her and her professionalism as our guide was excellent. We would like to thank you immensely for organising the wine tasting for us in Maribor with Peter and his wonderful cellar at Hotel Mitra. It was one of the many highlights of our trip. All our accomodatio was good and staff at all of them were nice and very helpful. Slovinia is a beautiful beautiful country with friendly people and we will definitely tell people about it. Unfortunately many people in Australia dont seem to venture into this part of the beautiful world. We will try and promote it and also recommend that they organise a tour with you. We can’t thank you enough for your organisation and prompt responses to my emails when we were considering our tour from Australia. It is quite a risk sometimes to book something and pay money to a company or persons we are not fermilliar with from the otherside of the world. Thank you once again !!!!!! My lovely wife, Tammy and I went on an Adriatic cruise and we had the pleasure of stopping in the beautiful country of Slovenia. Our friend, Glenn found a guide online after searching for one extensively. He found Rok Puppis (www.private-tours.info) and booked a private tour. Rok was incredible and such a great guide. His English is perfect and we all felt so safe with him. He met us in the port city of Koper where our cruise ship docked and we went on such a fun journey through Slovenia in his really nice van, which was roomy and comfortable. There were five of us, though the van could seat more. I found out that Rok does tours to Croatia and beyond, and I would not hesitate to go with him on an extended tour. His fee is very reasonable and he speaks many languages and is so knowledgeable about Slovenia and Europe in general. We just had a one day tour, though I wish it was longer. First, we went to the Predjama castle, which was awesome, then onto the capital city of Ljubljana, which was gorgeous, then to the incredible Skocjanske caves. I loved it all. Rok was such a pleasure to meet, and he’s an excellent driver. I also really enjoyed hearing the history of Slovenia, information about the locations we visited, and since I’m a writer, all the myths and local legends. We also enjoyed Hvar, Korcula and Dubrovnik before going on to Sarajevo and then 24 days in Turkey. The other three couples went off on separate adventures after Korcula and they are all home now too. Rok, Sorry it took so long to get in touch with you. After the trip we discussed our guides You and Dan from Romania were tied for the best,we really enjoyed our time in your country with you. You are what made the visit great. In a year or so would like to go back to see the other parts we didn’t have time for and would like to do it with you. Could you send what areas you cover and recommend so we could do a little research. You are a great guide,and should do well with your busniess This is not an idle saying,we have traveled a lot and your time,information,caring and excitement made this part of the trip stand out. Rok: Thank you – and especially Jasmina- for a FABULOUS day. Jasmina met us as arranged with a smile on her face and a lot of information! It only got better as the day flew by. The caves were fabulous. Being so thougtful, Jasmina remembered a jacket for me. Her preview of what we were to see was very helpful. We proceeded to the castle. Jasmina had so much interesting information for us. We had a wondrful lunch on the seaside in Piran with, or course great information and commentary. We finished up in Portoroz and back to Koper. We so enjoyed our day with Jasmina. She is so full of terrific information and provided terrific insight into not only the sitesbut culture, history, politics. We could not have asked for more. We thought our tour was fantastic. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, nice, and fun. We loved being able to create our own tour with a small group of people, we were 8. Everyone had an opportunity to ask lots of questions, and so were able to learn so much more. The town of Mostar was especially delightful. We loved our restaurant experience with lots and lots of appetizers, tastes, and flavors, and what a bargain it was. We had a fantastic lunch. We took lots of photos, and had a marvelous time interacting. The other great thing about a private tour, was the opportunity to visit the small villages in Slovenia in the area around lake Bohinj. Dear Rok: Here we are, since May 27th, at home in this autunnal season, frozen! We are suffering a very cold weather, coming from the South Pole. Temperatura are as low as 3 or 4º (centigrades), but it seems to be cooler by the wind. Everybody enjoyed the souvenirs!!! They can believe they come from so far away. All things from Mostar, Medjugorje and Split were given with a note explainning part of the history and characteristics of the population. It was very enjoyable to write about Kairos and explaind his habilities to our friends. Excuse our wonderful english but you had probed to understand us and what we want to mean. Slovenia and Croatia were beautiful and exciting places to visit, rich in historic and scenic beauty. The arrangements by your company were perfect. Your guide Nikola was superb! He was most enjoyable and made the trip special. He is a true jewel of Croatia. Any serious visitor to Slovenia and Croatia definitely does need a tourist service similar to your own providing expert guides who conduct the tours in private vehicles.

Hi Rok, I’m not sure if my dad emailed you, but I also wanted to email you to thank you for a wonderful trip around the Adriatic. Dear Rok, Just wanted to let you know how very much we enjoyed our 5 days in Slovenia. (We have been tied up with the Swiss hiking trip and getting to London). Thank you so much for organizing it all. The very best aspect of it was to have Jasmina and Bine as our guides (though I’m sure you would have been wonderful too). Their excellent English, huge knowledge of history (including, in Jasmina’s case, the archeological history of humankind, something we are very interested in), their knowledge of everything we saw as well as social commentary about it, their good driving, caring concern at all times made it worth every penny and minute. In addition, they shared some of their personal lives with us, which has made us feel that we are friends for life. They were and are just wonderful. In terms of where we went, we truly appreciated the human touch in looking at farms, including Bine’s success in finding a very kind beekeeper lady. We felt that we had rather a deep look at Slovenia in connecting the two world wars with the gorgeous landscape, pretty cities of Ljubljana and Piran and many villages. Learning about what Slovenia has suffered in the wars was important for us, and definitely brought home when we hiked up the road into the mountains that the Russian prisoners built. Please tell Jasmina and Bine that I will write as soon as I can. We miss them! We could not have had a better introduction to Slovenia with anyone. Thank you again for all your organization and communication. You can be assured that we will be telling everybody about you.

Dear Rok, I am sure you have spoken with Branko, but I wanted to send you a little note of appreciation for all your efforts. The trip by far and away exceeded all my expectations, as well as my wife’s, and especially my kids. As you are probably aware, the time we spend with our families, especially our kids, is priceless. I felt this adventure was the perfect combination of adventure, history, touring, and free time I found all the accommodations to be just about perfect and the breakfasts were fantastic. The itinerary was also perfect for my family with two 16 yo’s. The rafting, zip lines, paragliding, and kayaking companies did a superb job. Even the bungee was perfect. Truly what made this trip however was Branko. He is a remarkable individual and brought a “certain energy” to the tour. My kids immediately found a bond with him and he had an ability to get them involved and keep them interested and enjoying. He was fantastic with both my son and daughter finding topics and activities they both loved. He seemed to have just about perfect timing for our city tours and we always felt we were hitting the places when the large tours were not present. My wife and I also felt that his knowledge and insights to the history and what has transpired in the countries brought an understanding we would never have learned or appreciated. He seemed to never stop working to insure we had everything we needed and that things were perfect. He really is a special person and provided my family a really special vacation. We have travelled many places in the world but never as seemlessly and with such a wonderful guide. My family will always have a very special place in our hearts for him and hope our paths will cross once again. I can’t thank you enough for engaging him for our tour From our initial contact with your company you have responded quick and clearly and made the arrangements quite easy for me to get accommplished. Hi Rok I just want to say thank you for a great tour. The area we covered and sights we saw were amazing and breathtaking at times. I would also like you to let you know that our tour guide, Branko Struga was a fantastic guide. He was very generous with his time and very concerned for our safety at all times. Never did I feel concerned about our travels to any destination. The thing that we really appreciated was his knowledge of the areas we covered. He even corrected the local guides on occasion. He was absolutely a great addition to our tour and we appreciated him so much. We had a lot of laughs with him as his sense of humour matched ours. I can’t say enough about how invaluable he was to us and how much he made our tour what it was – Great!!!!! I would also like to say what a great driver we had and his name was Branko also. Hi again, Well it is good that we did the gorge the day before or you would have been even 2 hours later! We have had such a wonderful time with you in your beautiful country and do seriously invite you and your girls to Vancouver and Whistler. So apparently I left you a souvenir of me – not to worry, I will survive just fine without my travel mug. (It is probably about the 20th one I have lost.) We bought some highlighter pens and were marking all the place you took us and remembering with joy. We miss you already as we walk about Bolzano not having a clue about the history. Hello Rok I hope you made it back to Ljubljana safely and the journey was smooth. We finally got back to Salt Lake last night at 7:30. I wanted to send you a note and say a very big thank you for an incredibly wonderful and memorable trip. The one week we spent in Slovenia and Croatia was one of the best trips we had and it is all thanks to you. Not only did you plan the whole thing with such care but you also fulfilled the wishes of the members in the group whether it was taking pictures of football teams or stopping to get ice-creams. Your commentaries of the places, the history, its people, and cultures was very informative and we learned a lot about Slovenia and Croatia in a very short time. As your mother put it, Slovenia is God’s creation with the things He originally kept for himself. What an incredibly beautiful country!! We have not stopped talking about it with our relatives and friends. Croatia and the Dalmatian coast was incredible. I really cannot wait to bring our kids there and visit again. As we said, please visit us with your family in SLC and I hope we get the opportunity to reciprocate by taking you to some of the wonderful places around here. It is so hard to get back to work after a wonderful vacation. SLC today is mild thanks to some rain we are having. Coming back to the mountains reminded me of Slovenia (but your mountains are more beautiful). Again, thank you for your friendship and for taking such great care of us on this trip. Dear Rok, How are you? Apologies that I have taken so long to email you to thank you for organising our trip to Eastern/Central Europe. We had a wonderful time, the whole trip was fantastic. It was like being in a different world for us, as our country is so young and its history so recent in comparison to that of Europe. We saw both magnificent scenery and amazing architecture. We were constantly in awe of what man built so many centuries ago and without all the modern technology man has available now. Nik was a fantastic tour guide and he took great care of us. We very much appreciated the effort he put in, in order to make our trip an enjoyable and very successful one. Hi Rok, I wanted to thank you for organising such a well thought-out itinerary and my family has enjoyed themselves. Many thanks to Helena for taking such good care of us especially my elderly parents and making everything as smooth as possible. We particularly enjoyed the hotels which were located in the city centre as it allowed for greater flexibility in terms of the evening’s activities. Special note should go to our hotel in Split. It was a real treat to be able to stay in part of the old Palace. The Dalmatian coastline was absolutely stunning and I wish I was still there. It would be good to include in the itinerary that there was optional time to chill out/enjoy the sea. You may be surprised that some guests would enjoy swimming in the sea to cool down. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and my family and I are very happy to have used your services on our virgin Balkans journey/holiday. Can you please pass on my gratitude and thanks to Helena for her wonderful company/experience and service throughout the trip. Hello Rok My apologies for not contacting you earlier. It was on my list of things to do as we wanted to tell you how much we really enjoyed our journey with Helena. She was a wonderful driver and we felt very safe with her and her professionalism as our guide was excellent. We would like to thank you immensely for organising the wine tasting for us in Maribor with Peter and his wonderful cellar at Hotel Mitra. It was one of the many highlights of our trip. All our accomodatio was good and staff at all of them were nice and very helpful. Slovinia is a beautiful beautiful country with friendly people and we will definitely tell people about it. Unfortunately many people in Australia dont seem to venture into this part of the beautiful world. We will try and promote it and also recommend that they organise a tour with you. We can’t thank you enough for your organisation and prompt responses to my emails when we were considering our tour from Australia. It is quite a risk sometimes to book something and pay money to a company or persons we are not fermilliar with from the otherside of the world Thank you once again !!!!!! Hello Rok, Looong time since I wrote last to you. I apologize that I never wrote back. I wanted to give you the feedback about our tour. First I would like to mention that everything on our tour last summer was super well organized! we really enjoyed all the countries you took us to. The good things: *We liked that Helena gave us some time to enjoy our family alone, and that she didn’t have to be running around with us all day. *The hotel choices you made were in excellent locations! *The breakfasts in the hotels were delicious *Local tour guides that we loved were Petra(Cesky), Cristina(Vienna) and Maritzabel(Budapest) *The tour in Cesky Krumlov we liked that it was only 1hr and it was enough *The tour in Budapest was perfect time 6hrs *Tour guides always on time and always nice *We loved the tour guide from Budapest and it was part because she spoke native Spanish and therefore made things more understandable About Helena, She was amazing to us, she got along with our family very well, we all liked her so much. She was always trying to help in anyway. Always doing her work excellent so we enjoyed our trip. She is so efficient, Kind. We were impressed of all the knowledge that she had from all the places we went. She is such a good driver. Always with great attitude Her personal attention to the group was well appreciated. Good morning, I am sorry for not having answered before, but we were very busy with the cruise around the Croatian islands and the internet in the ship was not very reliable. First, I want to thank you in the name of all 4 of us for the good services that we received from your company and from Maja; the tour around Croatia and Slovenia was very interesting and spectacular; we enjoyed every minute of it. It was all very well organized . The hotel choices were also very good. I don’t have enough to say about the spectacular guide that Maja was. So very helpful and accommodating to all of our needs. She really went out of her way for us to love your country and feel great there.

Dear Rok, I’m sorry for the delay. I sent Helen an email when we arrived home but we immediately began renovation project at our house and I have been preoccupied. Our trip seems like a dream now. We had an amazing time. Helen was a wonderful guide for our family. She was especially kind and caring to our daughter. She was a very good driver as well. We felt very safe with her. She was also very persistent and able to get us into the icon museum! Her recommendation for St. Peter restaurant in Salzburg was perfect and our favorite meal of the trip. We enjoyed our itinerary very much. The salt mines were a special highlight. Our guides in each city were very good. Tatianna in Padua was especially knowledgable. Eric in Salzburg was also very personable and we enjoyed our time with him. ?Lara in Venice was helpful because she got us into St. Mark’s quickly and easily. She did a good job simplifying things for our daughter. Michelangelo in Verona was pleasant but not as talkative as the other guides. With regards to the hotels, they both had great locations and breakfast. Hotel Mozart had lovely staff, especially at breakfast. The room was rather sparse and simple though. The bathroom was modern and very clean. There is no air conditioning at this hotel. This was not a problem for us because the weather was cool but I could see it being bothersome in warmer temperatures. Liassidi palace was lovely and the location in Greektown was especially nice for us. The courtyard was wonderful to have evening drinks. The staff was just average in terms of hospitality. Our room overlooked the lobby which I thought was strange. We appreciate your professionalism and would recommend your tour company. When we decide to visit Slovenia and Croatia we will call you and Helen. FYI: The Hollman Beletage in Vienna was a great hotel. Sincerely,

Dear Rok, 4 countries, 15 cities, 7 hotels and 2 national parks in 11 days with 11 and 7 year olds boys in-tow. It was by far our most ambitious trip yet and it was amazing. Our tour guide, Gvozden was the pinnacle of professionalism. The tour was very inefficient. All the local guides were some of the best we have encountered in our worldly adventures. Rok, arranged the best rooms at the best hotels. It was interesting to experience bordering nations, so close to one another, yet so different in so many ways. We arrived in former Yugoslavia, having a basic understanding of the region, we left with a better comprehension of the place and with that, we are better people for it. Dubrovnik was the highlight of the tour for us and especially for the boys. It was a magical place for them. But each city had its unique appeal and history. The local indigenous Zinfandels were some of the worlds best. Thanks for arranging this fantastic trip. All the best!
