We thought our tour was fantastic. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, nice, and fun. We loved being able to create our own tour with a small group of people, we were 8. Everyone had an opportunity to ask lots of questions, and so were able to learn so much more. The town of Mostar was especially delightful. We loved our restaurant experience with lots and lots of appetizers, tastes, and flavors, and what a bargain it was. We had a fantastic lunch. We just returned last night from a 2-week tour of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Montenegro. I can’t say enough about Movis–Rok was great to work with, and he helped us craft the perfect itinerary. There were just 4 of us, in a very comfortable Mercedes van. Our driver/guide was Miha. From the first minute to the last, he made our trip absolutely seamless! He patiently answered our many questions, from history to culture to the war and so on. We went to several local restaurants for lunch, which as independent travelers, we never would have found. r When we began planning this trip, we were concerned that all of the reviews were 5-stars . . . but if I could, I’d give them 10 stars!!

The six of us just came back from a 7 days trip to see the best of Slovenia and Croatia. Planning the trip with Rok was smooth and very professional. Rok was very responsive and answered every question we had prior to the trip (even after we paid in full!) with the outmost details. r Our guide Helena was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, kind and generous with her answers. The only “downside” was that our flights out of Dubrovnik were delayed, and we missed all of our connections; it took 2 days to get home. Dear Rok, I’m sorry for the delay. I sent Helen an email when we arrived home but we immediately began renovation project at our house and I have been preoccupied. Our trip seems like a dream now. We had an amazing time. Helen was a wonderful guide for our family. She was especially kind and caring to our daughter. She was a very good driver as well. We felt very safe with her. She was also very persistent and able to get us into the icon museum! Her recommendation for St. Peter restaurant in Salzburg was perfect and our favorite meal of the trip. We enjoyed our itinerary very much. The salt mines were a special highlight. Our guides in each city were very good. Tatianna in Padua was especially knowledgable. Eric in Salzburg was also very personable and we enjoyed our time with him. ?Lara in Venice was helpful because she got us into St. Mark’s quickly and easily. She did a good job simplifying things for our daughter. Michelangelo in Verona was pleasant but not as talkative as the other guides. With regards to the hotels, they both had great locations and breakfast. Hotel Mozart had lovely staff, especially at breakfast. The room was rather sparse and simple though. The bathroom was modern and very clean. There is no air conditioning at this hotel. This was not a problem for us because the weather was cool but I could see it being bothersome in warmer temperatures. Liassidi palace was lovely and the location in Greektown was especially nice for us. The courtyard was wonderful to have evening drinks. The staff was just average in terms of hospitality. Our room overlooked the lobby which I thought was strange. We appreciate your professionalism and would recommend your tour company. Our guide and driver Helena, was exceptional in her knowledge of history, culture, politics, nature and gastronomy. How their small country is adjusting to the new way of life after the split of Yugoslavia. She was an excellent driver in the mountains narrow curvy roads. The trip was versatile, combining nature, small towns and historical places.In Croatia we got additional local guides in Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik who described in details their towns. Helena recommended typical dishes and restaurants. We could sense the pride she felt for her small country of Slovenia. Slovenia and Croatia were beautiful and exciting places to visit, rich in historic and scenic beauty. The arrangements by your company were perfect. Your guide Nikola was superb! Hi Rok, Sorry for being so late in getting a response to you but I picked up a terrible head cold the last day in Verona which made the trip home a real pain. Have being slow at getting back at things here but I am now at work with only the memories of the trip to get me through the day ha. Anyway I wanted to share that I know that I speak for the group when I say every aspect of the trip was above, way above, our expectations. That is not to say we had low expectations on the contrary we were looking for a 1st class experience and you delievered far above that. We were in the hands of a professional and it showed up in your attention to detail, you looking out for each of us and our individual wishes, your flexibility and your ability to meld into the group so smoothly. You suffered with our stupid senses of humour and even laughed at our crap jokes and you made us feel you were one of us and that was very comfortable. Stay doing what you are doing. I have told many people here in the office where I work as a consultant to 8 different companies that this was the trip of a lifetime. Many want to take my 1000 pictures home to review and most are so impressed with the experience you gave us. So once again thanks for doing all you did for us. My lovely wife, Tammy and I went on an Adriatic cruise and we had the pleasure of stopping in the beautiful country of Slovenia. Our friend, Glenn found a guide online after searching for one extensively. He found Rok Puppis (www.movisprivatetorus.com) and booked a private tour. Rok was incredible and such a great guide. His English is perfect and we all felt so safe with him. He met us in the port city of Koper where our cruise ship docked and we went on such a fun journey through Slovenia in his really nice van, which was roomy and comfortable. Dear Rok: Here we are, since May 27th, at home in this autunnal season, frozen! We are suffering a very cold weather, coming from the South Pole. Temperatura are as low as 3 or 4º (centigrades), but it seems to be cooler by the wind. Everybody enjoyed the souvenirs!!! They can believe they come from so far away. All things from Mostar, Medjugorje and Split were given with a note explainning part of the history and characteristics of the population. We particularly enjoyed the hotels which were located in the city centre as it allowed for greater flexibility in terms of the evening’s activities. Special note should go to our hotel in Split. It was a real treat to be able to stay in part of the old Palace. The Dalmatian coastline was absolutely stunning and I wish I was still there. It would be good to include in the itinerary that there was optional time to chill out/enjoy the sea. You may be surprised that some guests would enjoy swimming in the sea to cool down. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and my family and I are very happy to have used your services on our virgin Balkans journey/holiday. We (2 couples) had a great two week tour of Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro. After listening to our desires, Movis put together a wonderful tour. We covered a lot of miles, but were able to change hotels only every other night (except for a single overnight in Plitvice Lakes). Our driver/guide Tomaž was extremely knowledgable about the history of the area. He was fun and flexible. He quickly made adjustments to the itinerary as weather or our desires indicated. Would highly recommend Movis to anyone traveling to this area of the world.

Dear Rok, Just wanted to let you know how very much we enjoyed our 5 days in Slovenia. (We have been tied up with the Swiss hiking trip and getting to London). Thank you so much for organizing it all. The very best aspect of it was to have Jasmina and Bine as our guides (though I’m sure you would have been wonderful too). Their excellent English, huge knowledge of history (including, in Jasmina’s case, the archeological history of humankind, something we are very interested in), their knowledge of everything we saw as well as social commentary about it, their good driving, caring concern at all times made it worth every penny and minute. In addition, they shared some of their personal lives with us, which has made us feel that we are friends for life. They were and are just wonderful. In terms of where we went, we truly appreciated the human touch in looking at farms, including Bine’s success in finding a very kind beekeeper lady. We felt that we had rather a deep look at Slovenia in connecting the two world wars with the gorgeous landscape, pretty cities of Ljubljana and Piran and many villages. Learning about what Slovenia has suffered in the wars was important for us, and definitely brought home when we hiked up the road into the mountains that the Russian prisoners built. Please tell Jasmina and Bine that I will write as soon as I can. We miss them! We could not have had a better introduction to Slovenia with anyone. Dear Rok, 4 countries, 15 cities, 7 hotels and 2 national parks in 11 days with 11 and 7 year olds boys in-tow. It was by far our most ambitious trip yet and it was amazing. Our tour guide, Gvozden was the pinnacle of professionalism. The tour was very inefficient. All the local guides were some of the best we have encountered in our worldly adventures. Rok, arranged the best rooms at the best hotels. It was interesting to experience bordering nations, so close to one another, yet so different in so many ways. We arrived in former Yugoslavia, having a basic understanding of the region, we left with a better comprehension of the place and with that, we are better people for it. Dubrovnik was the highlight of the tour for us and especially for the boys. It was a magical place for them. But each city had its unique appeal and history. Dear Rok, We had an exceptional Ancestor Heritage Tour by your guide Helena. Helena went way above what we expected.She was extremity knowledgeable about my ancestors heritage and lifestyle they lived. She also went above and beyond in the researching my family. Helena located my Grandfathers and my Grandmothers home and also I met cousins for the first time. It was a very emotional experience. Even knowing where Grandparents came from I never would have been able to find Homes and relatives without Helena’s knowledge, experience, and guidance. The greatest asset Helena provides is her passion for work, This is not just a job for her,, it is a passion and it shows! We had scheduled only the one day tour,, but by the end of that day, it was very clear to us , we had to hire Helena the next day for a trip to Bled ,, and again,, this tour also went way above our expectations. We are planning on coming back in a few years and we will be wanting (demanding!) Helena to be our guide again! Hello Rok I hope you made it back to Ljubljana safely and the journey was smooth. We finally got back to Salt Lake last night at 7:30. I wanted to send you a note and say a very big thank you for an incredibly wonderful and memorable trip. The one week we spent in Slovenia and Croatia was one of the best trips we had and it is all thanks to you. Not only did you plan the whole thing with such care but you also fulfilled the wishes of the members in the group whether it was taking pictures of football teams or stopping to get ice-creams. Your commentaries of the places, the history, its people, and cultures was very informative and we learned a lot about Slovenia and Croatia in a very short time. As your mother put it, Slovenia is God’s creation with the things He originally kept for himself. What an incredibly beautiful country!! We have not stopped talking about it with our relatives and friends. Croatia and the Dalmatian coast was incredible. I really cannot wait to bring our kids there and visit again. As we said, please visit us with your family in SLC and I hope we get the opportunity to reciprocate by taking you to some of the wonderful places around here. It is so hard to get back to work after a wonderful vacation. SLC today is mild thanks to some rain we are having. Dear Rok, We are home safely. The plane had a ‘technical problem’ and was 1.5 hours late leaving Frankfurt so we had to catch an hour later flight in Vancouver. I slept well last night, Bob not too badly so we are none the worse for wear. I hope you had an uneventful trip all that way back to Ljubljana. Quite a marathon! Thank you so much for looking after us so well. We thoroughly enjoyed our initiation into the Balkans and having you as our guide. It felt like it was an itinerary that was uniquely geared to Bob & Sally…which it was! How many other guides would combine driving around in the back of beyond, climbing up odd bits of territory, stopping for hard to take photographs, being able to recount the local history for the last 600 years, exchanging personal stories and interests with their clients, telling the local jokes, choosing appropriate venues to see and places to stay, teaching some language, and remaining cheerful in the face of local authorities? My wife and I are just back home after a wonderful trip with Movis and our fantastic overall tour guide, Branko Struga. Our eleven day adventure of the Ex-Yugoslavia was extremely well planned – it included all of the significant and notable sights. Rok Puppis, the owner of Movis, was exceptionally receptive to incorporate our specific desires including a focus on World War I and Jewish history. We experienced the flavors of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro. Our days were full, our local guides were extremely knowledgeable, we learned a lot about the countries & their history and experienced the culture first hand. Our overall tour guide, Branko, was a man who wore many hats. He described the history and the conflicts of the countries, he engaged in conversation as we drove site to site and he ensured that we enjoyed the local essence and fare at each of the destinations. Branko met us each day with a smile on his face, a clear plan for the day and new sources of information based on our previous day’s discussion that he researched at night. We quickly became “part of one family”. I can only rave about our trip and how much we saw, learned and experienced. My wife and I have been sharing many stories, experiences and pictures since we have returned home and are greatly looking forward to our next adventure.

Dear Rok, How are you? Apologies that I have taken so long to email you to thank you for organising our trip to Eastern/Central Europe. We had a wonderful time, the whole trip was fantastic. It was like being in a different world for us, as our country is so young and its history so recent in comparison to that of Europe. We saw both magnificent scenery and amazing architecture. Good morning, I am sorry for not having answered before, but we were very busy with the cruise around the Croatian islands and the internet in the ship was not very reliable. First, I want to thank you in the name of all 4 of us for the good services that we received from your company and from Maja; the tour around Croatia and Slovenia was very interesting and spectacular; we enjoyed every minute of it. It was all very well organized . The hotel choices were also very good. I don’t have enough to say about the spectacular guide that Maja was. So very helpful and accommodating to all of our needs. She really went out of her way for us to love your country and feel great there.

Dear Rok, I am sure you have spoken with Branko, but I wanted to send you a little note of appreciation for all your efforts. The trip by far and away exceeded all my expectations, as well as my wife’s, and especially my kids. As you are probably aware, the time we spend with our families, especially our kids, is priceless. I felt this adventure was the perfect combination of adventure, history, touring, and free time I found all the accommodations to be just about perfect and the breakfasts were fantastic. The itinerary was also perfect for my family with two 16 yo’s. The rafting, zip lines, paragliding, and kayaking companies did a superb job. Even the bungee was perfect. Truly what made this trip however was Branko. He is a remarkable individual and brought a “certain energy” to the tour. My kids immediately found a bond with him and he had an ability to get them involved and keep them interested and enjoying. He was fantastic with both my son and daughter finding topics and activities they both loved. He seemed to have just about perfect timing for our city tours and we always felt we were hitting the places when the large tours were not present. My wife and I also felt that his knowledge and insights to the history and what has transpired in the countries brought an understanding we would never have learned or appreciated. He seemed to never stop working to insure we had everything we needed and that things were perfect. He really is a special person and provided my family a really special vacation. We have travelled many places in the world but never as seemlessly and with such a wonderful guide. My family will always have a very special place in our hearts for him and hope our paths will cross once again. My group of 14 travelers had an amazing 2-week trip with Movis. The booking process with Rok was easy and it was so nice to have his guidance in getting the most picturesque and diverse itinerary together. Our outstanding, energetic guide, Helena, did a fantastic job of getting all we had packed in our itinerary to work in a smooth way. She shared her vast knowledge and passion for her country with us and was a delight to travel with. Our hotels were very lovely, well located and included delicious breakfasts. The buses were so comfortable and nice. Movis is one of the most (if not The Most) professional tour operators I’ve ever worked with and I’ve been in the travel business for 37 years. It was an amazing trip in an awe-inspiring, fairytale land.
