Day 1

Bled arrival

Upon arrival at Ljubljana airport (or nearby), your private guide will transfer you to the hotel in Lake Bled for check-in. You will then enjoy sightseeing the picturesque town, including the castle and small island. Overnight in Bled.

Day 2

Bled – Škocjan caves and Lipica stud farm – Bled

We start the day with a walk through the most spectacular caves in Slovenia, Škocjan caves, today under UNESCO World Heritage. Next, we head to the Lipica stud farm, the birthplace of the Lipizzaner horses that dates back to 1580. In the evening return to Bled for an overnight.

Day 3

Bled – Soča valley and Goriška Brda

From Bled we drive over the mountainpass Vršič towards emerald river Soča. Stop along the route to see the remains of WWI and drive to the famous wine-producing region of Goriška Brda to taste some world-famous wine and overnight at local farmhouse boutique accommodation.

Day 4

Goriška Brda – Ljubljana – Plitvice Lakes

Morning drive towards Ljubljana for a walk through the old town and visit the vibrant streets along the river with picturesque Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture. Continue towards Plitvice Lakes with some stops along the way. Check-in to the hotel and overnight in Plitvice.

Day 5

Plitvice lakes – Split

Our day begins with a delightful walk through the stunning Plitvice National Park, where we can admire the breathtaking views of the lakes and waterfalls. After that, we will be heading towards Split, the largest city in Dalmatia. Once we reach our destination, we will take a walk through the old town, where we can marvel at the 1700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace and enjoy the bustling street life. We will spend the night in Split.

Day 6

Split – Island Hvar

In the morning we continue to one of the most beautiful islands along the Adriatic coast, Hvar, and an interesting town with the same name. Walk through the old town and possibly visit the Devil’s Islands near the town. Overnight in Hvar.

Day 7

Hvar – Dubrovnik

After having breakfast, we will continue our journey by driving across Hvar Island towards Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a guided tour of Dubrovnik with a local guide, followed by a visit to the old pharmacy within the Franciscan monastery. In the evening, we will take a walk along the spectacular city walls. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 8

Departure from Dubrovnik

After breakfast some free time and later transfer to Dubrovnik airport to end The Best of Slovenia and Croatia tour.
