Family tour of Slovenia, Austria and Italy

Day 1

Venice arrival

Arrival to the Venice airport, meet & greet by your guide/driver and start of Family tour with transfer to the hotel. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 2

Venice

We spend the day exploring the canals of Venice. Walk pass the the Rialto and the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square and Basilica, barges, gondolas and crumbling palaces facing streets made of water. Overnight in Venice.

Known as Ponte di Rialto, is one of the bridges of Grand Canal in Venice. Until 1850s it was the only way to cross the Grand Canal on foot.

Day 3

Venice – Bovec

Driving from Venice we enter Slovenia. We arrive to Bovec, a small tourist center, popular especial among all the adrenaline seekers and go canyoning on the river Soča between the waterfalls, small pools and excellent rocks ideal for splashing about. Overnight in Bovec.

Day 4

Bovec

In the morning we have more adventures planned like rafting on the magical Soča and zip line between the trees. Overnight in Bovec.

Gorgeous Soča valley along the emerald colour river which used to be frontline between Austro-Hungarian and Italian army during WWII. Nowadays, the valley offers many sport activities and beautiful walks in its scenery.

Day 5

Bovec – Planica – Bled

Our tour than takes us over the mountainpass Vršič to Planica Nordic Centre where we can go on a zip-line or wind tunnel. In the evening we drive to Bled for an overnight.

Day 6

Bled – Bohinj – Bled

In the morning, sightseeing of the Lake Bled, its island with a churche and visit of Bled Castle. In the afternoon we drive to Bohinj where you can go paragliding and enjoy in some of the most amazing views over the lake and beautiful nature. Overnight in Bled.

Lake Bohinj is the area known as “the kingdom of Goldenhorn”. Beautifuly set in the Julian Alps and far away from crowds.

Day 7

Bled – Ljubljana – Postojna– Bled

After breakfast we drive to the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana where we go for a walk along the picturesque streets and enjoy in of the cafés near the Ljubljanica river. From Ljubljana we drive to visit the number 1 attraction in Slovenia, a 21km long Postojna cave. After we drive to see Predjama Castle, a Renaissance castle built within a cave mouth. In the evening we return to Bled for an overnight.

Day 8

Bled – Minimundus – Lake Wörth

Departing from Bled we continue our tour and head to Austria to visit Minimundus, a miniature park in Klagenfurt which displays over 150 miniature models of architecture from around the world. Afterwards we drive to the Lake Wörth, nestled between mountains and hillsides, perfect for bathing and swimming. Overnight around Lake Wörth.

Day 9

Lake Wörth – Landskron Castle – Lake Wörth

Our next stop on Family tour of Slovenia, Austria and Italy is Landskron Castle. It dates back to 14th century but nowadays it is known as a falconry centre conducting regular flying demonstrations. The primary aim of this show is to let people have a closer approach to these fascinating animals and to transmit some knowledgeable facts about them. Later, optional trip to Hochhinauf rafting and adventure park. Overnight around Lake Wörth.

Day 10

Lake Wörth – Bolzano

In the morning we continue to Bolzano (Italy), a town where where different cultures meet. The Talvera river divides the historic town and the modern area. Explore the fusion between the Mediterranean and central Europe in a walk between churches, historical streets and squares, museums and castles. Overnight in Bolzano.

Day 11

Bolzano – Lake Garda

After breakfast we drive to another great lake, Lake Garda, one of the most popular lakes in Italy. Its very mild Mediterranean climate and constant winds make it perfect for activities like swimming and surfing. Overnight around Lake Garda.

Day 12

Lake Garda

We spend the day on the Lake Garda, enjoying the beauiful landscape and the Mediterranean climate. We will explore the Old Port of Desenzano and its Castel and visit Sirmione, set on the southern part of the lake. Walk on its medieval streets and visit the Scaliger Fortress, Toamn Villa, Catullo Caves, etc. Overnight around Lake Garda.

Day 13

Gardaland

In the morning we head to Gardaland, an amusement park, adjacent to Lake Garda. Major attractions at the park include Mammut, Jungle Rapids, Fuga Da Atlantide, Shaman, Blue Tornado, Ramses: Il Risveglio, Raptor and Oblivion: The Black Hole. Overnight around Lake Garda.

Day 14

Venice departure

Transfer to the Venice airport and end of our services.
