1. Hvar Island

In past years, the island has become a favorite vacation spot among tourists. Its a popular destination for all the nature lovers and those who enjoy the relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle. Hvar is also rich in cultural and historical heritage.


The island has excellent climate with plenty of sunshine. It forms part of central Dalmatian archipelago and is the longest Croatian island. The major places are the Hvar town, Stari Grad, Jelsa, Sućuraj, etc. In front of the southern coast, opposite the Hvar Town are Pakleni Islands (Pakleni Otoci).

Picturesque nature, intact beaches, rich historical and cultural heritage, olive trees and wine are just some of the reasons to visit Hvar Island.

 

2. Zlatni rat, Brač

One of the most unique Croatian beaches is Zlatni Rat, a narrow spit on the island of Brac. Known as the Golden Horn, Zlatni Rat is a clear, pebble beach known for its ever-changing coastline.

Zlatni rat beach is also the most representative panorama of Bol. The tip of the beach keeps changing its shape due to the influence of winds, waves and sea currents, making it appear. The wind in the area makes this location very popular among surfers and kite-surfers but also for the sunbathers as they keep them cool.

 

3. Krk Island

The diversity of Island of Krk has a lot to offer: old towns, rural villages, paradise beaches and bays and numerous bars, restaurants and clubs. Whether you like the culture, the nature or the upbeat tourist places, this is the place to be.


Island of Krk is also known by the name ´Golden Island´ because of its mild climate, great geographical position and the diversity of cultural and natural wonders. But its cultural heritage has given it another name – the cradle of Croatian culture.

 

4. Krka National Park

Krka National Park lies in the vicinity of Šibenik and is named after the Krka River. The Park extends over 142 square km and includes two thirds of the river. Its main attraction are the beautiful waterfalls, most famous being Skradinski Buk falls.


A great way to see the park is on a boat trip and you can also go for a sim on a few locations. The park is rich in flora and fauna but also in archaeological sites. You can find caves, fortresses, churches, monasteries, and a system of water mills.

 

5. Istria

Maybe a less known part of Croatia but a perfect place to enjoy great food and wine, pebble beaches and see some magnificent history sites. It extends over deep valleys gullies and hills overlooking picturesque towns and sea.


Istria offers great food and wine experiences, lovely landscapes and views of countryside and sea. Its cultural and historical sites, old stone houses, cute little shops and art galleries will take your breath away.
