Known as one of the most beautiful capital cities of Europe, Budapest is home of numerous sites. Straddling the river, it´s oftenly called the ´Queen of the Danube´ and one of the most culturally important towns in Eastern Europe. Its attractions cover incredible architecture, scenic parks, spas and historic buildings.

Parliament
Hungary’s Parliament Building is one of the most photographed buildings in the world. It was completed at the turno f the 20th century in Neo-Gothic style. Situated at Pest’s riverbank, it´s nowadays the largest building in Hungary and an iconic landmark of Budapest.

Buda Castle & Castle Hill
Castle Hill, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is formed by medieval lanes and Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque buildings. The most magnificent monument is the immense Buda Castle from 18th century with more than 200 rooms.

Chain bridge
The Chain Bridge in connects Buda and Pest. When constructed in 1840, it was considered to be one of the wonders of the world. It is still one of the most known bridges and the most symbolic building of Budapest.

Central Market Hall
You can see many locals and tourist here everyday as it is the biggest and most famous market of the capital city. Shop for fruit, vegetables and meat but also souvenirs like folk costumes, embroideries, dolls, etc.

St. Stephen’s Basilica
It is also a cathedral and is a popular tourist site as it offers impressive panoramic views from the dome over the city and the Danube. It is also famous for its beautiful architecture and the interior. The Basiclica is often setting for classical concerts.

Opera house
Built in late 19th century, the Hungarian State Opera House stands as one of the most beautiful buildings in Budapest as also one of the most prestigious musical institutions in Europe.

Fisherman’s Bastion
It´s a complex of walls, colonnades and towers built in the late 19th century and early 20th century. It stands on the spots where the local fishermen’s guild built their defense installations in the Middle Ages.
