Best of Slovenia

I found this company on line. I was a bit concerned about having to forward payment through to a company I knew nothing about. But we went ahead and booked with ROK and had the most amazing time. The company was very professional and our tour guide Helena was the best. We could not have asked for a better company to take us on our holiday. We had the most amazing time and we certainly book with the company again. Thank you for giving us the best holiday. Slovenia was the most beautiful country to visit.

Hi Rok, Hvala! I enjoyed Slovenia and still quite relieved that the weather was very good. The day I left today was foggy but I got to see the Slovenian Alps mountains from the plane!! But now that I have visited all of the former Yugoslavia…its time to slowly re-visit all of them. Its time for me to promote Slovenia in the US.

Rok, Sorry it took so long to get in touch with you. After the trip we discussed our guides You and Dan from Romania were tied for the best,we really enjoyed our time in your country with you. You are what made the visit great. In a year or so would like to go back to see the other parts we didn’t have time for and would like to do it with you. Could you send what areas you cover and recommend so we could do a little research. You are a great guide,and should do well with your busniess This is not an idle saying,we have traveled a lot and your time,information,caring and excitement made this part of the trip stand out. Over the winter we will talk over your suggestions. We would like to combind this trip with Coatia and the coast,probably a 30 day. Hopfully all this praise will not go to your head , and you’ll raise the price next trip. The holidays are coming ,enjoy OH,thanksgiving is the day you eat turkey and Christmas is the day you get presents just in case you do not celebrate these over there. Rok: Thank you – and especially Jasmina- for a FABULOUS day. Jasmina met us as arranged with a smile on her face and a lot of information! It only got better as the day flew by. The caves were fabulous. Being so thougtful, Jasmina remembered a jacket for me. Her preview of what we were to see was very helpful. We proceeded to the castle. Jasmina had so much interesting information for us. We had a wondrful lunch on the seaside in Piran with, or course great information and commentary. We finished up in Portoroz and back to Koper. We so enjoyed our day with Jasmina. She is so full of terrific information and provided terrific insight into not only the sitesbut culture, history, politics. We could not have asked for more. Good luck. Think about ways to optimize your website. You are truly a gem and should not be the “best kept secret” in Slovenia. Keep an eye on Trip advisor. Dear Rok, we have arrived safely back in Canada and I just wanted to write to thank you very much for the service your company provided while we were in Slovenia. Our guide, Dunja was wonderful. She was polite, informative and helpful in all ways. Her tour of Ljubljana was very detailed and we enjoyed it very much. Dear Rok, Just wanted to let you know how very much we enjoyed our 5 days in Slovenia. (We have been tied up with the Swiss hiking trip and getting to London). Thank you so much for organizing it all. The very best aspect of it was to have Jasmina and Bine as our guides (though I’m sure you would have been wonderful too). Their excellent English, huge knowledge of history (including, in Jasmina’s case, the archeological history of humankind, something we are very interested in), their knowledge of everything we saw as well as social commentary about it, their good driving, caring concern at all times made it worth every penny and minute. In addition, they shared some of their personal lives with us, which has made us feel that we are friends for life. They were and are just wonderful. In terms of where we went, we truly appreciated the human touch in looking at farms, including Bine’s success in finding a very kind beekeeper lady. We felt that we had rather a deep look at Slovenia in connecting the two world wars with the gorgeous landscape, pretty cities of Ljubljana and Piran and many villages. Learning about what Slovenia has suffered in the wars was important for us, and definitely brought home when we hiked up the road into the mountains that the Russian prisoners built. Please tell Jasmina and Bine that I will write as soon as I can. We miss them! We could not have had a better introduction to Slovenia with anyone. Thank you again for all your organization and communication. You can be assured that we will be telling everybody about you.

Hello Rok My apologies for not contacting you earlier. It was on my list of things to do as we wanted to tell you how much we really enjoyed our journey with Helena. She was a wonderful driver and we felt very safe with her and her professionalism as our guide was excellent. We would like to thank you immensely for organising the wine tasting for us in Maribor with Peter and his wonderful cellar at Hotel Mitra. It was one of the many highlights of our trip. All our accomodatio was good and staff at all of them were nice and very helpful. Slovinia is a beautiful beautiful country with friendly people and we will definitely tell people about it. Unfortunately many people in Australia dont seem to venture into this part of the beautiful world. We will try and promote it and also recommend that they organise a tour with you. We can’t thank you enough for your organisation and prompt responses to my emails when we were considering our tour from Australia. It is quite a risk sometimes to book something and pay money to a company or persons we are not fermilliar with from the otherside of the world Thank you once again !!!!!! Please give our best to Helena and if either of you are in Australia we will always be available to host you or maybe organise a promotion for you.
