Day 1

Vienna

Start of the tour at Vienna Airport where you meet your private guide/driver for your exclusive tour of Austria, Slovenia and Italy. Drive to the Hotel in Vienna and some time to relax. In the afternoon some short orientation walk through the old city centre. Accomodation in Vienna.

Day 2

Vienna

After the breakfast you will have a guided tour of the Imperial city Vienna which used to be one of the most influental towns in Europe for centuries. Walk past Imperial court Hofburg towards st. Stephens cathedral on famous Graben street and contine towards Opera. On the way you will admire many famous sites as Albertina galery etc… In the afternoon we reccommend you a visit of Schonbrunn Palace which used to be built by Maria Teresia as her summer palace. Or you can just stroll around the town. In between city walk you can have an original Viennese Melange accompanied by apple pie, Sacher cake or Guglhupf in a typical and very traditional old Vienna Kaffeehaus. Accommodation in Vienna.

Day 3

Melk – Salzburg

In the morning you will head in the direction of Salzburg and stop on the way in smal town of Melk that has a huge Benedictine abbey above the town before we continue towards the city of Mozart to have enjoy in a walk tour of Salzburg to explore beautiful Mirabell gardens, Mozarteum, Marktplatz and for the end we will visit huge citadel above the city. Accommodation in Salzburg.

Day 4

Salzburg and Salzkammergut

After breakfast we will drive towards Salzkammergut area to admire one of the most beautiful areas in Austria full of charming villages located along the lakes. Visit of St. Wolfgang on Wolfgangsee and on the way back towards Salzburg we will stop in Mondsee as well to see some of the sites of famous The Sound of music movie. Accomodation in Salzburg

Day 5

Hallein and Bled

On the way towards Slovenia we can stop in one of the most know mines in the world – Hallein. Mine which was for centuries supplying Salzburg with salt and brought wealth and fame to the town. Later we will head towards Slovenia and stop in beautiful setting of lake Bled. Day to explore gorgeous area of Bled. Visit of Bled castle, island with church and nearby Vintgar gorge. Accommodation in Bled.

Day 6

Valley of river Soca and lake Bohinj

Visit of the spectacular Soca river valley with start across Vrsic mountainpass and continue past Bovec where you can experience some white river rafting, canyoning or paragliding. Visit of Kobarid WWI museum before we head towards lake Bohinj to finish fantastic day in the heart of Julian Alps. Accommodation in Bled.

Day 7

Ljubljana

After the breakfast we will head through Radovljica towards Ljubljana for a sightseeing tour of Slovenian tiny capital squeezed between the river and castle hill. Time to explore town and its charming atmosphere. Accommodation in Ljubljana.

Day 8

Postojna cave – Piran – Venice

After the breakfast departure from Ljubljana towards Postojna cave the biggest in Slovenia and one of the most spectacular in the world. Continue to the Adriatic coast to visit charming peninsular town of Piran – one of the best kept secrets of Europe. Time to enjoy in seafood along the coast and afternoon deprature to Venice! Overnight in Venice.

Day 9

Venice

Wake up in Venice and chance to take small streets of the Venice before the masses of toursit come. Sightseeing tour of the main attractions like St. Marks square with Doges palace and basilica of St. Mark. Walk towards Rialto bridge and colourful market and enjoy in the views of Canal grande. In teh afternoon chance to visit some of the gallery or museums or just to enjoy in vibrant atmosphere of unique city! Accommodation in Venice.

Day 10

Departure

After breakfast some free time to explore the town and final shopping. Transfer to the airport and end of services on this Vienna to Venice tour.

Dear Rok, We had an exceptional Ancestor Heritage Tour by your guide Helena. Helena went way above what we expected.She was extremity knowledgeable about my ancestors heritage and lifestyle they lived. She also went above and beyond in the researching my family. Helena located my Grandfathers and my Grandmothers home and also I met cousins for the first time. It was a very emotional experience. Even knowing where Grandparents came from I never would have been able to find Homes and relatives without Helena’s knowledge, experience, and guidance. The greatest asset Helena provides is her passion for work, This is not just a job for her,, it is a passion and it shows! She truly cares about our discovering our Family heritage, as well as educating her Slovenian Heritage, The other greatest asset of Helena is her scheduling , We had a full day filled with activities but at a relaxed paced that allowed us to totally enjoy our time . The Wine tasting at Metlica was, again , way above our expectations. We had scheduled only the one day tour,, but by the end of that day, it was very clear to us , we had to hire Helena the next day for a trip to Bled ,, and again,, this tour also went way above our expectations. We are planning on coming back in a few years and we will be wanting (demanding!) Helena to be our guide again!
